What Our Team Says

I love CFB because I can bring my whole self to work—my strengths, weaknesses, career aspirations, personality quirks, the whole package. And I am known and fully supported as that whole person who brings value to the bank’s mission, not just an employee number.

The bank’s benefits and perks are excellent, but what really makes CFB the best place to work is its culture of family and community. The senior management team reinforces this culture from the top down. Employees are treated like family which shows in our commitment to our communities. Being able to serve our local communities right where we live and work brings a great sense of fulfillment and satisfaction that we truly get to make a difference.
I have never worked for a company that cares so much about their employees. When a company takes good care of their employees, the employees will take good care of the customers. That’s 100% accurate here at Community First.

I don’t have a lot of family in the area, so when I had a personal emergency a few months ago, our team jumped to help me in every way possible. You can’t find a work family like ours anywhere else.
I like having direct access to our Chief Credit Officer and CEO to review client solutions in a timely manner. I have been able to take both of them on client calls. They provided insight to the client on how we would like to solve a need and then we turn around and approve a loan a few days later. This access is key to the success and feel of Community First Bank of Indiana.

Being in a growing culture and bank is an exciting piece to my career growth plan. It has its challenges of change, however the upside and forward thinking is so great the challenges become mere speed bumps.

I have been able to help more clients, prospects, friends in my role with CFB because we take the time to understand their business, find their needs, and then put together a solution that works for them and CFB. All parties leave the closing table happy!
I love working at Community First Bank because we are one big family. Our co-workers genuinely care about each other and we care about our customers. We view our relationships as a priority and all take care of each other. It’s more than making mortgages for people, I get to make friends.

I also love working at Community First Bank because we believe in giving back to our community. I have a personal belief in giving back to my community and so when I get to do that as part of my job, it’s a bonus! I love Westfield and I love CFB so when I can combine the two, it’s perfect!

I have multiple clients I have developed friendships with. Some have been part of our Veteran’s Day program and we have helped them clean up their yards in preparation for winter, or we’ve had tea and cookies together while catching up on life, others have helped me guide my children down various education paths, and some have ended up joining me with non-profit work and some have even reached out to have my daughter baby-sit for them. It is very rewarding to help people financially, as money is a very emotional thing for most people, but it is even more rewarding to hear life change stories and walk with people through those life changes because what started out as a business transaction has turned into a friendship. This is what community banking is all about!
I enjoy the relationship’s I get to build with our customers. As a commercial lender at CFB, I have the opportunity to partner with local businesses and assist them as they start and grow.
Although I’ve not been at Community First long, It’s obvious that they invest in their employees and value our opinions. I’m proud to work for a Community Bank that is truly involved supporting other charitable organizations and is a fixture of the community. There’s a reason Community First Bank has been voted one of the best places to work for the last four years. I love that Community First takes pride in being involved in the community. Our bank leadership strongly encourages employees to get involved with local non-profits, even during bank hours. We take giving back to our local community seriously and that is a big reason for our success.
Even though I work full time, I never feel like I’m not available to my children or my family. Community First holds family in the utmost importance and I have witnessed several times where the bank has whole heartedly supported someone struggling –whether with a loss of a family member, sick children, or even financial struggles. This makes me proud to be a part of a bank that truly cares.

I also love how involved with the community this bank is. It truly holds it’s “Community First” title. I enjoy the many relationships made from working with the public and also the amazing volunteer opportunities where I can give back to the community.
